Remote Junior Javascript Developer

Engine23 is a steadily growing startup, comprised of eCommerce experts who understand every last step of the customer journey. From code development to campaign deployment, our team knows what works for optimizing conversions.

Now we're looking for a brand new face to add to our team -- a remote Junior Javascript Developer who loves writing clean pragmatic code. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and gain skills, while bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the table.

You would be joining our mostly remote team, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Our team is mostly remote because we aim to hire the best of the best... not just the "best nearby." If you have Javascript experience and you're passionate about Javascript development (and a nicely written resume we simply shouldn't miss) we encourage you to apply, no matter where you live.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Self Motivation to:

• Write clean, responsive, and reusable code.


• Take part in code reviews and share code with other members of the team.


• Ensure all design and dev reviews/input are validated before being submitted.


• Stay well informed regarding new/emerging technologies.

Preferred Education, Technical Skills, and Experience

• Education Level: Bachelor's Degree, technical in nature.


• Experience: 2+ yrs Javascript front end and back end development experience, 3+ yrs experience with HTML, DOM, and CSS.


• Debugging and problem-solving skills.


• Source Code Management experience.


• NodeJS or KnockoutJS knowledge/experience would be awesome to have.


• Willing/Able to learn new things daily.


• Ambition. A lot of it!


• Observant and Detail oriented.


• Passion for learning and problem solving.


• Concise Communicator.
