Job Overview

The Social Media Specialist position is a core team member who is responsible for creating content and graphics to be distributed across different online platforms and social media.  


In this position you’ll be taking long-form content – like a blog post, article, interview or video – and breaking it down into smaller, bite-size pieces of content to be distributed across different platforms. Then creating the images and graphics to go with the content pieces using Canva, making sure there is cohesive branding across all content.  


You must have strong technical skills in working with video editing software and different social media platforms. It’s essential that you have a strong knowledge of social media distribution for maximum marketing results with attention to details as you scrutinize each content piece.  


This position is ideal for someone who loves working with social media and has exquisite attention to detail and is looking to establish long-term work with a fast-growing, successful company.  


Experience you must have: 

Excellent video editing skills 

Posting across different social media platforms such as FaceBook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter. 

Excellent skills  

Excellent graphic design skills 

Organizing and managing all social media marketing while meeting all deadlines 


Skills and Qualities: 

Precise and detail-oriented, great with social media and video 

Clear-headed, quick-thinking and graceful in high-pressure situations 

Fast learner 

Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner 

Excellent communication skills (interpersonal & in writing)

Social Media Specialist Tasks of this Role: 

Edit videos 

Manage the transcription service of video 

Create thumbnails for videos in

Add subtitles to video 

Create description of video with tags, keywords, and links in YouTube 

Release video on the same day and time for all clients onto YouTube 

Create cards and annotations in YouTube  

Double-check all links 

Publish blog 

Embed YouTube video onto blog post 

Create pictures from video to publish on Pinterest 

Create tweets from video transcription 

Create picture tweets using

Test email subject lines for maximum response  

Schedule social media posts using Crowdfire, and Later  

Schedule emails 



Full-time position at 40 hrs per week during local time  

High speed internet connection with backup service to minimize interruptions 

Personal computer 

Available for meetings with Madeleine at US CST time zone at least 1x per week ongoing 

Excellent English verbal and written skills  



$7-$10/hr based on experience
