We are looking for an experienced virtual assistant who is well-versed with social media management and editorial/journalism. If you are someone who wants to work with a team that is creating fun, impactful and fulfilling work - then this is for you!
We are a New York City-based media company that simplifies the news for New Yorkers in one quick, 5-minute email. Our mission is to empower New Yorkers to be civically engaged through explanatory news.
Why? We believe that in order to make the world a better place, make the world around YOU a better place. Since COVID, our team and community have raised funds to support small businesses, conducted nationwide call your senator parties, partnered with organizations to raise awareness for mentorship programs for kids, and hosted panel discussions on diversity and inclusion. All because of our simple newsletter!
We take a fun, approachable, and digestible approach to news coverage. You can think of us as The Skimm for millennial New Yorkers.
We are a small team of female-led New Yorkers who are passionate about making a difference (while having fun)!
The ideal candidate must be a great writer (our style is friendly and casual), creative, and adept with social media (creation and distribution).
We need a critical thinker and leader who can develop a distribution strategy as well as comb through our content to develop social media that engages and grows our audience. We will not be micromanaging you but you will be an integral part of our team. If you are great with attention to detail, include the word “Bagel” in your subject line when applying.
