Job Overview

What we are looking for

Someone who is passionate about travel and who has experience with running a blog and performing media outreach. This is the chance to join a fast-growing, profitable travel blog and be a key part in helping us to grow it massively in the next 12 months and beyond. You will be responsible for your own time management and work schedule but gain real responsibility to be a part of something exciting.

One off:

Setting up Pinterest account and organising all initial tiles
Developing a media pack for our business

Ongoing weekly tasks:

Sending out 2 weekly emails, that you will write - 1 hr
Posting everyday on Pinterest and re-pinning other boards (all in line with strategy you develop with us) - 3 hrs
Posting regularly on Facebook (these can all be scheduled) - 30 mins
Posting regularly on Twitter (these can be scheduled) - 30 mins
Reaching out to companies tour agencies and hotels) in order to build relationships and develop collaborative opportunities - 3 hrs
Reaching out to high authority travel sites and agreeing on guest posting opportunities (finding the sides, finding the people to contact, agreeing on subjects to write and then letting us know what to produce) - 2 hrs

What the ideal candidate will have:

Experience spent reaching out to brands for collaborations
Good experience using Mailchimp and writing engaging and informative emails
Lots of experience using Pinterest (both as someone who enjoys Pinterest and someone who has their own page). Please show success you have had using this
Experience using photo editing software
Understand the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes
A good sense of humour and a positive attitude towards life
A passion for travel
A love for social media
Excellent self motivation and time management skills
100% fluent in English
A fun tone of writing

A rate of pay commensurate with the work performed each month (this can be negotiated for the right candidate)

200-300 words on the best place you’ve ever travelled to and why (or wish to travel to!). We will need this to demonstrate your fluent English and excellent writing skills

Please note: All applications that include a blanket response will be ignored.

Also: You will maintain full flexibility over your working schedule, so long as everything is performed on time. The only exception being Pinterest, where you will be required to be active on that every day for 30 minutes.
