The Support Specialist assists the executive team along with external stakeholders and customers with customer service, dispatching, driver on-boarding, social media management and administrative tasks in a fast paced environment.
Must have superior customer service skills and be proficient in using technology such as texting, keyboard typing, excel/Google Sheets pplications and telephones. The Support Specialist must exemplify how to efficiently determine/define customer needs and recognize opportunities for value added purchases. The Ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, transportation industry dispatching, social media and email marketing/management.
Duties and responsibilities
Consult with customers via phone and computer regarding their job orders
Dispatch appropriate driver(s) in a timely manner
Develop rapport and exhibit efficient telephone communication skills
Ability to effectively build and manage driver relationships as driver contact
Update and maintain driver database daily
Utilize texting via computer keyboards to disseminate customer needs
Use and navigate Online Mapping/GPS systems
Navigate multiple computer screens simultaneously
Copy and manipulate images/documents in (jpg) formats
Comprehend and utilize spreadsheets using simple math
Email and call list building
Social Media posts and engagement
Cold calling for appointment setting
