Social Media Content Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a full-time social media manager to create content and grow our social media platforms. We release a weekly podcast and a weekly real estate video on YouTube, and are looking to grow the reach and audience of both the YouTube channel and podcast.

The bulk of the content will be created through repurposing the podcast and videos into shorter, impactful clips designed for social media.

Above-average English proficiency is required, as the social media manager will need to identify short segments in material, recognize their impact, clip the appropriate highlight, write accompanying text, and interact with similar channels/profiles.

Content creation


  • Create LinkedIn and Instagram specific content by clipping existing YouTube videos, “sandwiching” video with text and graphics, adding subtitles, and posting to LinkedIn and Instagram.

  • Create Facebook specific content by clipping existing YouTube videos and posting, as above.

  • Appropriately editing full videos that are posted to YouTube by removing the call-to-action of subscribing (YT specific) and posting to Facebook and IG TV in accordance with the content schedule.

  • Monitor analytics to guide content creation

  • Snip 30 sec podcast highlight clips for distribution to Instagram and LinkedIn (video and audio versions as required)

  • Post highlight clips to various social media channels to drive traffic to the podcast (includes writing provoking text to accompany the image and/or clip)

  • Create and post impactful quote images to promote podcast episode on social channels

  • Create episode art

Outreach


  • Interact daily with similar channels/accounts on YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn to build network and expand reach (30 mins a day)

  • Daily content promotion on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook

  • Actively connect with “target market” on LinkedIn to grow audience

Podcast guest communication


  • Coordinate with guests to ensure photo and bio are submitted before recording date.



  • Inform guests a week prior to release to encourage sharing to their database



  • Follow up with guests after podcast episode is published to help promotion and sharing

 

Qualifications



  • Conversational proficiency in reading and writing English

  • Experience in editing videos and audio files

  • Ability to dissect content and pull out impactful moments

  • Intermediate graphic design skills

  • Experience in posting content on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram

  • Interact daily with similar channels/accounts on YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn to build network and expand reach (30 mins a day)

  • Daily content promotion on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook

  • Actively connect with “target market” on LinkedIn to grow audience
