Junior Bookkeeper 

Job Summary: 

The Bookkeeper is responsible for undertaking all bookkeeping activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, management reports preparation and payroll.  

They will be processing end to end transaction allocation and accounts management, including helping with the preparation of financial reports.  

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

The position requires you to report to the Senior Bookkeeper / Client Manager 


  • Can perform all the tasks of a Bookkeeper. 

  • Ability to work autonomously 

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence 

  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload  

  • Willingness to learn and can adapt to changes 

  • Knowledgeable and can apply accounting concepts  

     

Team Work 


  • From time to time you may be asked to review and check less qualified and experienced team member’s work 

  • You will be required to work in a team and be willing and able to delegate work when asked to by your Manager 

 

Technical Requirements -  


  • Conversion of accounting data into Xero 

  • Perform bank reconciliation 

  • Can prepare sales invoices in the client's accounting system 

  • Enter supplier's tax invoices in the client's accounting system 

  • Process payments of A/P and collections of A/R 

  • Can resolve the recurring reconciling items showing in the reconciliation reports like Bank Reconciliation, Trade Payables/Receivables 

  • Draft activity statements  for review 

  • Payroll (Singapore) Experience  

  • Can do payroll data entry processing and able to reconcile with relevant records 

  • Understanding of the flow of accounting transactions up the financial statements level 

 

Qualifications and Experience  -  


  • Goods and Services Tax (GST) 

  • Stamp Duty 

  • Treatment of Depreciation 

  •  

Software Skills/Experience: 


  • Xero (preferably Certified) 

  • Hubdoc &/or Dext 

  • Microsoft (Word, Excel etc.) 

  • Excellent Computer skills, word, excel
