Job Overview

New Hill Development Corporation is an African-American led social enterprise established to build financial resilience, economic opportunity and affordable housing in the Greater Charlottesville Black community. We are a growing and collaborative non-profit, still very much in a business startup phase of growth. We are looking for a Virtual Assistant who will be responsible for administrative support primarily to the CEO with additional support to other team members while working remotely. You will handle administrative projects and deliver high-quality work under minimum supervision.

You are required to have experience of fulfilling various administrative tasks such as:


  • provide excellent internal and external customer service

  • answer emails and schedule meetings

  • manage calendar and contact lists

  • perform market research to support various developing projects

  • create professional and impactful PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets and Word documents

  • update website (Square Space) and create social media content

  • create meeting notes from Zoom recordings of board meetings and client meetings

  • create newsletters using Mail Chimp

  • basic bookkeeping 

  • other various duties as needed

 A strong Internet connection is required٫ along with experience using communication tools like Zoom and project management tools like Trello or Asana.
