Below is the list of my work-related experience and some research conducted:
March 2018 – May 2018 Project Officer on the iLead and INCITEGov Project: Rethinking Philippine Democracy •Assisted and monitored the organization of scheduled roundtable discussions. •Documented and produced technical reports for each roundtable discussions conducted.
April 2016 – July 2017 Technical Associate in Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) •Coordinated with local officials for policy developments concerning local governments and other related activities. •Assisted in the organization of events of ULAP and in collaboration with other agencies and partners, funded and sponsored by the stakeholders. •Drafted policy briefs and other necessary resolutions drawn from the local governments’ policy agenda and documentation of all the consultations and other field related activities. •Other duties assigned by the Manager, Director pf PPP and Executive Director.
April 2017 – June 2017 Documentation and Writing Associate on the TAF DRR Project: Strengthening DRRM Financing for Local Governance Actors, Roadshows on the New NDRRMF Guidelines •Facilitated local roadshows (Iloilo, Isabela and Albay) on information dissemination and discussion on the revised guidelines among local stakeholders. •Drafted policy briefs drawn from the project implementation and documentation of all the consultations and other field activities.
September 2016 – March 2017 Research Assistant on the TAF DRR Project: Strengthening DRRM Financing for Local Governance Actors •Desk and technical research on available DRRM funding available for LGUs and mapped out preliminary issues and concerns of national and local stakeholders. •Developed a roadmap for policy reforms in DRRM financing to increase access to the National DRRM Fund and other appropriate funds available for local governments. •Gathered further support and recommendations through a roundtable discussions to firm up the need for an inclusive and developed mechanisms. •Produced a white paper on the range of issues identified and policy development.
June 2016 – December 2016 Project Officer on the IFAD-ATIKHA Project: Scaling up Initiatives in Mobilizing Migrant Resources towards Agriculture Development in the Philippines •Administrative coordination with ATIKHA and ULAP for the implementation of project activities. •Coordination (onsite and offsite) with local governments for the consultations and other related activities. •Drafted policy briefs drawn from the project implementation and activities and documentation of all the consultations and other field related activities. •Provided an assistance on the ground monitoring of implementation of project activities and outputs. •Provided an assistance in the development of drafts of activity reports, mid-grant, and end of grant reports. •Bookkeeping and accounting support for the expenses related to the project.
June 2016 – December 2016 Documentation and Writing Associate on the UNDP RePubliKo Project •Conducted four (4) roundtable discussions, supported by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the United Nations Philippines RePubliKo campaign, covering various topics, namely, health, agriculture, urban development and local government budget surplus. •Produced 20 infographics on topics about local governments. •Produced white papers on the range of issues identified and policy development.
April 2016 – September 2016 Technical Associate on the TAF EDUC Project: Assessing and Identifying Reform Areas on Senior High School Voucher System •Conducted a series of activities, under a grant from the Coalitions for Change (CfC) supported through the Australian Embassy – The Asia Foundation (TAF) Partnership in the Philippines, that focused on possible funding sources from the Department of Education’s national budget that can be directly downloaded to the local government units. •Conducted initial research on the supply and demand on the Voucher System to identify the reform agenda as a guide on the policy implementation development in relation to K-to-12 program. •Conducted a focus group discussion (FGD) with selected Local Universities and Colleges (LCUs) from NCR and Region 4-A and a roundtable discussion with national and local agencies concerned. •Produced a white paper on the range of issues identified and policy development.
April 2015- May 2015 Office Writer at the Office of the City Councilor Aysen Marrero – Santiago City, Isabela •Provided weekly research and reports on the assigned subject specifically on tourism. •Coordination with other local officials concerning the implementation of projects and other related activities. •Provided significant articles and reports of all the activities and programs held by the office of the Councilor.
