Mark Gerald is currently a Staff Accountant Field Office Support for Grameen Foundation USA, a global 501 non-profit organization based in Washington DC which works in empowering the poor, especially the women, in ending poverty and hunger. He currently oversees the accounting functions of six field offices: Colombia, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, India and the Philippines.
Prior to joining Grameen, Mark Gerald is a former Senior Assurance Associate for almost three years in SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co, a global affiliate of Ernst & Young LLP. He specialized in agreed-upon procedures and audit services of companies reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and Philippines Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS). He also worked on a SAP IT general controls audit engagement.
He has an extensive experience in audit of diverse industries such as but not limited to Conglomerates, Manufacturing, Retail and Distribution, Power and Generation, Shared services organization, Professional Services Firm, Real Estate and Development, Tourism, Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Operation, Holding, Social enterprises and Foundation.
