Be realistic with your salary budget. You should look at what it would cost you to hire a mobile app developer in the United States, and then look to pay your Filipino Android developer between ⅕ and ⅓ of that salary.

The reason we encourage you to pay ⅕ to ⅓ is that it’s fair, and it will help you attract committed long-term staff.

Remember that a decent middle-class lifestyle in the Philippines costs about ¼ to ⅓ of what it would cost in the USA.

Remember, when deciding on what salary to pay, take into account that your Filipino android developer still needs to make car payments, pay a mortgage, hospital bills, internet, electricity, and all of the other bills that people pay.
