Hey there,
I'm back with another exciting edition of Secrets of a Virtual Boss.
Today, we're going to talk about something that might sound similar but is entirely different - outsourcing and offshoring.
These two terms can be confusing, so let's break it down in simple words.
Have you ever had a task or a process that you weren't good at or found time-consuming?
Did you ever think, "I wish someone else could do this for me so I could focus on what I'm good at?"
That's where outsourcing comes in.
Outsourcing is delegating tasks or processes to a third-party company or an individual who is an expert in that field.
It could be something as simple as data entry or something as complex as designing a website.
The idea is to take something off your plate and let someone else handle it while you focus on your core business.
Offshoring, on the other hand, is a type of outsourcing where the third-party company or individual is located in a different country than yours.
